Subject:       KPFA Minithon results

KPFA's May marathon had an official announced goal of $450,000, but
the unofficial pledge total was only $328,342.  That left a shortfall
of $121,658, and a "minithon" was scheduled in July to raise the
missing money.  Here are the unofficial (preliminary, pre-computer)
results of the minithon:
  Tue 7/23  $18,236
  Wed 7/24   21,907
  Thu 7/25   22,071
  Sat 7/27   18,641 (Blues Day)
  Sun 7/28    6,224 (fundraising on Sokol show only)

     TOTAL  $87,079

Obviously, the new programming is not proving a wild success in
meeting the desired level of fundraising.  (By the way, the goal
for the minithon had been set at only $100,000.)
