Subject: Radio Mutiny busted!
At about 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday two FCC thugs knocked the front door of the house we broadcast from. We have a good lawyer, so everyone knew to be quiet and not to let them in. They said they were coming back with a warrant, and they'd break the door down. We shut everything down. They haven't come back yet.
Coincidentally, we were having a d.j. meeting across the street at the time of the visit, which we called because of our niggling fear that this moment was coming. We were just talking about the rash of busts and what to do in the event that the FCC knocks when we got word that we now had a good example. According to someone who was on the porch, the FCC said "We're looking for radio mutiny. Isn't that a meeting going on across the street?" There was no way to tell there was a meeting going on from the outside, so they must have heard about it elsewhere.
They can't just pick us off one by one. We're still having the microbroadcasting conference in April.
We'll keep everyone posted.
Solidarity, CommuniKate
