Rainbow/PUSH-ing for Low Power

Jesse Jackson, head of the Rainbow/PUSH coalition, has endorsed the
FCC's plan to create a new class of low power FM stations. "It is
critical that our policymakers continue to provide new opportunities for
community-based radio broadcasting," Jackson said. "Diversity and equal
access to information is in the spirit of a true democracy." Jackson added
that microradio should not be allowed to create interference with digital
radio service the industry is developing. "We do not want to limit future
advances in radio," he said.
