Pacifica
departs in dark of night; moves offices to D.C.
On the
night of January 5, 2000, a moving van pulled up to Pacifica's offices
on MLK Way in Berkeley, and removed the contents. A chance witness who
alerted Bay Area activists was all the notification the community was given.
