THE MEDIACRATS
Larry Bensky, a great true voice of progressive radio, has been fired by Pacifica, an increasingly unreliable voice of progressive radio, after 30 years in public broadcasting. Bensky received his two-sentence immediate dismissal notice as he left the studio after anchoring the first day of Pacifica's "Impeachment Watch." Bensky, one of the most widely respected individuals in progressive media, has apparently fallen victim to a common disease of late 20th century American institutions: attempting to retain a reputation without the cost of the daily integrity that went into creating that reputation.
