URGENT HELP US PROTECT RADIO CHICANO/A AND FREEDOM OF ZAPATISTA INFORMATION!!!!!!

We are asking people to help protect a half-hour radio program here in LA that every Saturday provides some of the most hard-hitting, up to date information on the Zapatistas. Radio Chicano/a is dedicated to covering not only the Zapatistas, and issues concerning Chicano/Chicanas and Indigenous peoples here in the US.

Pacifica Radio is looking to cut the show from its programming. Already they have cut it from an hour to a half-hour. If this is lost, thousands of people in Southern California would lose a precious resource that keeps them armed with the most important weapons in fighting this war-information and critical consciousness which leads to action.

We ask you to please call KPFK 90.7 in Los Angeles on Saturday between 5:00-5:30 pm. They are currently doing a phone bank- fundraising drive. Rather than pledging money we ask callers to protest the cut of the Radio Chicano/a program from an hour to half-hour as well as explaining that such radio programs are a vital resource to communities.
