Message From Syracuse Community Radio re: Pacifica Network News

Just to be clear on our position. Syracuse Community Radio did have the intention of carrying PNN and have numerous members and supporters who were enthusiastic about that.

I have kept the SCR Trustees informed about the ongoing situation with Pacifica, but we have yet to make a formal decision concerning news sources. As the current President of the organization, I would refuse to sign the contract as it is currently written and, in whatever role I assume in the future, will continue to stand with the employees, volunteers, and listeners, current and former, of Pacifica in demanding a democratically operated and publicly accountable organization.

I am very enthusiastic about KO.OP's efforts to establish an alternative service that will provide another viable choice for our Trustees to consider.
